Private individuals and corporate members of Hotel Sales & Marketing Association Intl (HSMA), Philippine Tourism & Hospitality Officers & Marketers Association (PHILTHOMA), Tourism Congress of the Philippines (TCP), and Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) have collaborated to show their support for Boracay. Under the umbrella group, #OneBoracay, Save Boracay, their mission is to show solidarity with the government and all the communities and stakeholders in Boracay.

The groups will conduct a Beach Front Clean Up activity (in Boracay) on Monday, April 16, from 5:00 am to 9:00 am.  Meeting point is at the Rieseling Boracay Resort on Bolabog Beach.  This will be followed by a Job Fair at 1:00 pm, to be held at the Paradise Garden Resort and Convention Center in Manggayad, Manoc Manoc.

“We want to show our love for Boracay and for the thousands of workers that will be displaced due to the closure,” HSMA president Christine Ibarreta remarked.  “We know that this small gesture will not even make a dent, but we are willing to help and this is just one of the activities we are planning to organize,” TCP president Jose Clemente III added.

Iñigo Pascual, Piolo Pacual, Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Sen. Joel Villanueva, Giselle Sanchez, Diana Meneses, Sam YG, Toni and Slick of Boys Night Out, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez have expressed their support and have ordered their One Boracay, Save Boracay t-shirts.  Part of the proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will go to one of the Malay tourism cooperatives or associations.
