Precedence: Paving the Way for Inclusivity is a student-led initiative dedicated to the LGBTQ+ Community. The primary objective of this project is to raise awareness of the challenges that the said community still faces even up to this day. Hence, we plan to execute various activities that will leave a positive impact – not only on our target beneficiary but also on everyone who takes part in this project.
Launching this November 6, 2020, Precedence will be holding a three-week-long fundraising activity, which will be held online due to pandemic restrictions. The online events, will be composed of three (3) webinars and two (2) game nights. Moreover, the initiative will also be partnering with small start-up businesses to further increase the acquired funds. Lastly, The Final Show will be held on November 27, 2020, to conclude Precedence’s fundraising activity.
All proceeds from the fundraising activity will be given to the beneficiary The Home for the Golden Gays, a non-profit organization, founded by an LGBTQ rights activist and formed by a group of vibrant people aiming to shelter “indigent” elderly gay men in Metro Manila.
