According to Pornhub, Filipinos spent the most time watching porn on their site last year… and the year before that… and the year before that. And just about a week after that announcement of this year’s stats, lo and behold: access to porn sites from the Philippines, including Pornhub, have been banned for several ISPs both on desktop and on mobile.
I just tried it on my own desktop and mobile and it still works for me, but some friends have told me that some no longer work for them with the following message greeting them when they try to get into the websites: “This website has been ordered blocked under authority of the Philippine Government pursuant to Republic Act 9775 or the Anti-Child Pornography Law.”

This ban might just take us off the list of ‘most time of porn watched’, but it is clear that netizens aren’t too amused by the news of the ban. How do you feel about it? Have you seen any rants on Facebook yet?
