Pokémon fans, you now have even more reasons to fly to Japan because an outdoor theme park is opening next year!
The theme park, called PokéPark KANTO, will open in Yomiuriland in the Kanto region of Tokyo, which is notably the first region players explore in the Pokémon series. The 26,000-meter attraction will provide visitors with a fully immersive experience of finding all your favorite Pokémon in their natural habitats and honing your skills as a Pokémon trainer.
In the concept art above, it can be seen that PokéPark KANTO will be divided into two main zones. The Pokémon Forest will be a 500-meter nature walk through different terrains where you can observe different Pokémon in the wild and how they cohabitate and interact with one another.
Sedge Town will be the central area to buy Pokémon merchandise, visit iconic landmarks like the Pokémon Center and Pokémon Gym, engage in activities, and enjoy shows like a greeting parade where you can meet your favorite Pokémon up close.
PokéPark KANTO will also feature two rides, though it’s yet to be confirmed what they are.
The theme park will open in early 2026 with tickets going on sale later this year.
