PlayStation Network Down: Gamers Can’t Access, Download, Purchase Games

Is the PlayStation Network down? Gamers worldwide are experiencing disruption in accessing their favorite titles due to the PlayStation Network outage.

The issue reportedly began this Tuesday morning, October 1, with the PlayStation Network status page showing that several of its services, including Account Management, Gaming and Social, and the PlayStation Store, are down.

With that, users can’t sign in, create an account, stream games, and use PlayStation Store’s features. The affected platforms are PS Vita, PS3, PS4, PS5, and Web.

“We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience,” its status page noted.

As of writing, Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet issued a statement addressing the “PlayStation Network down” interruption or its underlying cause.
