Pitik Mata Productions, a student-led creative group composed of third-year AB Communication students from ABC 233 of National University – Manila, is set to host Back From The Past, Vision That Lasts, a Storyboard and Shotlist Workshop on January 26, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at Room 410 JMB, National University – Manila.
The workshop will feature Ms. Heidi Bayani as its guest speaker, a Manila-based freelance advertising director and editor known for her intuitive storytelling and cinematic, emotionally grounded visual style.

The workshop is designed to strengthen students’ understanding of visual storytelling and pre-production planning, two critical foundations in filmmaking and multimedia production. It will cover key topics such as storyboarding, shot listing, framing, sequencing, and visual continuity—skills that help transform ideas into organized and visually compelling narratives.
As aspiring media practitioners, the organizers of Pitik Mata Productions aim to create meaningful opportunities that go beyond theory. The workshop emphasizes the importance of careful preparation in production, highlighting how effective pre-production can improve creative execution, workflow efficiency, and overall production quality. Through guided discussions and practical insights, participants will gain a clearer perspective on how visual planning supports storytelling.
Back From The Past, Vision That Lasts is primarily intended for students and aspiring filmmakers who wish to enhance their technical and creative skills. The event also encourages collaboration among young creatives, fostering an environment where ideas, experiences, and techniques can be shared and refined.
By organizing this initiative, Pitik Mata Productions hopes to foster the growth of student-led productions at National University – Manila and inspire emerging storytellers to approach filmmaking with intention, discipline, and creativity.
