Pinoy Team ‘Project Kwago’ Aims to Win UAE Drones For Good Award

Project Kwago Drone (2)

Our fellow Pinoys, a three-man team from the Philippines, are set to make a mark in the drone industry as they aim to win the UAE Drones For Good Award, a government-initiated competition in Dubai.

The team is composed of Mac Eugenio, a video editor and hobbyist who is the drone’s pilot, freelance cameraman Ari Trofeo, the project’s systems designer, and entrepreneur Vince Villena, the software architect.

Out of 1,017 projects submitted from 165 countries only 20 qualified for the semifinals.

Our very own “Project Kwago,” a complex nocturnal drone system, has got in along with 19 other entries from seven countries, such as UAE, Canada, Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Ethiopia, and Greece.

On the message they sent to us, Eugenio said:

We joined the 2016 UAE Drones for Good Awards (www.dronesforgood.ae) and out of the 1,017 submissions from 165 different countries, we were chosen as one of the 20 semifinalists!

We are all proud to represent our country in this prestigious event. We’ll be going to Dubai on Jan 29-Feb 6 for the semifinals stage and hopefully we get into the finals stage. There is also online voting involved, we don’t know how it will affect the scores but we still want to have the most number of votes.

Please help us spread the word to get more votes for Project Kwago.

Come on guys, they need all the help they can get so let’s give it to them.

Visit this page https://www.dronesforgood.ae/finals/project-kwago and vote for them.

Let’s all help them win!
