Pia Visited the Nuns of the Poor Clare before the competition to ask for Prayers

We already know prayers are powerful. In fact, that is the only gift we can give to anyone who needs guidance or protection. Clearly, everyone was praying for their respective bets to win the Miss Universe 2015 crown yesterday.

However, there could only be one winner. Although, the winning moment was unbelievably awkward, the crown was bagged by the Philippines’ bet Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.

Finally after 42 years of waiting, our prayers have been answered.

According to NewsDesk.asia’s Facebook post, before the competition, Pia visited the nuns of the Poor Clare Monastery of Balindog in North Cotabato Province and asked for their prayers.

The Poor Clare Monastery is known for contemplative nuns who help bring to the Church – gifts of prayer, community, simplicity, and joy. Furthermore, the Poor Clare has 20,000 nuns (or sisters) throughout the world in 16 federations and in over 70 countries, says the poorclare.org website.

Ultimately, prayers are indeed powerful.

Don’t you agree? Also, did you join the nation in praying and wishing for Pia to win?
