With the national elections happening this year, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach gave advice to voters to choose who you think is best.
In a press conference in Malacañang held during her courtesy call to President Benigno “PNoy” Aquino III, Wurtzbach said, “Well, I hope that we elect the right people because it’s going to shape the country for the next couple of years, so it’s very important.”
She asked voters to get to know the candidates well in order to make an informed choice.
She mentioned that the choice made should be well thought off and not done hastily.
Meanwhile, the beauty queen also expressed her joy that the Philippines is getting recognized internationally in beauty pageants.
She said, “I think it’s about time because with all the training and the preparations that we have been doing and how well received beauty pageants are here in the Philippines. It’s very good that we are finally getting the recognition that I think we deserve.”
