PHOTOS: Disinfection of public market looks like it was straight out of a movie

Since the outbreak began, the coming of the new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has shocked the world. How do we contain it? How do we prevent its further spread? How can we completely eradicate it? Like with any new disease, there’s no fool-proof solution for it yet. All we can do is try everything we can to contain it. Moreover, we need to be ready that it might take a while to totally solve this pandemic.

At the very least, washing your hands and social distancing (staying at home, for now) are some of the solutions that we need to religiously practice. Meanwhile, our government is doing all it can to disinfect public areas to ensure that the virus is eliminated in many places.

In the City of Talisay in Negros Occidental, authorities disinfected the public market and it was documented through these mind-blowing photos.

Photos were shared on Talisay PIO Facebook account.

“MAYOR LIZARES: The 6:00 pm (March 19) early closing of doors of the TALISAY PUBLIC MARKET will give way to the disinfecting drive I have ordered as a risk mitigating action and proactive precautionary measure against Covid-19. Your understanding and cooperation is important to keep Talisay virus-free. Live social distancing. Don’t be the weakest link. Don’t belittle the virus and do take everything seriously. We’re all in these together, we will conquer.,” Talisay PIO wrote.
