Philippines’ TNC Predator Wins Around 35 Million Pesos After Elimination from TI9

The International is an annual DotA 2 (Defense of the Ancients 2) world championship e-sports tournament. On its ninth year, the International 2019 began with 18 teams and will end on Sunday, August 25, 2019. The tournament is hosted by the game’s developer, Valve Corporation, and is currently being held in Shanghai, China.

Just yesterday, Filipinos were at the edge of their seats as TNC Predator, the Philippine national DotA team, played their first games after making it into the upper bracket. Twitter even experienced an uproar when the team was boo-ed by the audience as they went on-stage.

Today, it is with a sad heart that we announce that TNC has been eliminated from The International 2019 after having lost 2 – 1 yesterday against China’s Vici Gaming and 2 – 0 today against The Netherlands’ Team Liquid.
