COVID-19 cases continue to go higher as 2,288 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Monday (February 22, 2021). This is a record high since November 8, 2020.
The new cases pushed the total cases to 563,456 where 28,488 are active cases according to the Department of Health. There are also 33 new survivors which total 522,874 recoveries.
Though the number is already pushed past the 2,000 mark, the Department of Health is still to add reports from six more testing laboratories that fail to submit on time for the daily tally.
There are more than 111.3million cases of COVID-19 all around the work while 2.4 million deaths and 62.8 million recoveries were recorded according to the Johns Hopkins University.
