Philippine Restaurant One of Asia's 50 Restaurants for 2016

First it was Margarita Fores, who was awarded Asia’s Best Female Chef, now it’s Gallery Vask who was awarded by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. For its list for 2016, Vask was selected as one of the 50 best, placing 39.

The news was announced on their Facebook page:

Gallery Vask is a fine dining restaurant that serves modern Asian cuisine. The kitchen is helmed by Chef J. Luis “Chele” Gonzalez, who comes from Spain.

Gonzalez is known in the industry for cooking at both Spain’s El Bulli, ranked by S. Pellegrino World’s Best Restaurant Awards as the world’s best restaurant in 2002, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009; and Denmark’s Noma, which beat El Bulli the following year. He was also chef for Spain’s Arzak, which has three Michelin stars and is ranked by S. Pellegrino as the 8th best restaurant in the world; Spain’s Mugaritz, ranked by World’s 50 Best Restaurant as the 6th; and Spain’s El Celler de Can Roca, Nerua-Guggenheim, ranked by Restaurant magazine as the best restaurant in the world in 2013 and 2015.

Gallery Vask was selected by a group of 300 experts in the service industry. The restaurant was awarded in Bangkok, Thailand.
