Another favorite, Men’s Semi Pro champion, and Pilipinas Got Talent Season 5 try-out, Nique Mancha had the audience screaming as he powered through stunt after stunt on both the pole and floor, even managing to lip synch some of the words to his background song: “I have no regrets.”
The Professional competitors were unlike anything we’d ever seen. Here, there were no limits, no conforming to stereotypes. Women pulled off incredible power-tricks and men demonstrated impossible flexibility.
Filipino Johnny Villanueva put on the winning performance. His exhilarating piece full of jaw-dropping moments left the audience wondering if it was possible to defy gravity, after all.
The Philippine Pole Cup aimed to bring together a diverse selection of talented pole athletes, and that’s exactly what they achieved. The evening’s performers broke barriers and opened minds, helping us see that pole is much more than its reputation suggests. It is a demonstration of the human body’s capacity to defy limits and express what words cannot convey. It was truly an amazing show, and we can’t wait for next year’s line up.
