Last October 22, 2017, the Alliance of Legal Management Associations of the Philippines, Inc. held its first ever Philippine Legal Management Summit at the Development Academy of the Philippines in Pasig City.

The said event was participated by different schools and universities that offer Legal Management program all over the country.

The summit was made meaningful by well-known personalities who gave insightful talks.
Dr. Gia Sison, a mental advocate, talked about “Being the light in the vast darkness.” She shared about how to cope with problems millennials face today and how to conquer them. She also talked about mental health awareness, and how can we help other people in our little ways.

Your Lawyer Says, a social media-influencer, talked about the “Legal Profession from a Millennial Perspective.” He discussed how the millennials approach the study of law in their way and pointed out how this generation sees the law. He also gave pieces of advice on how aspiring lawyers can survive law school.

Atty. Ryan Oliva, a prominent lawyer from UP College of Law, enlightened us with the talk, “The role of the youth in upholding rule the law.” He encouraged the delegates to love and embrace the act of reading if they are really determined to be in the field of law. Atty. Oliva talked about how important the role of the youth today in molding the rule of law. During his talk, he said that the youth has so much fire and potential to look at law differently or in a new perspective.

Furthermore, to give a spin-off from the previous Executive Meeting, ALMAP, Inc.

conducted the first ever “Project Pitch.” The Alliance, in partnership with the office of Senator Grace Poe, will co-fund the project proposal that was chosen after thorough deliberation of student leaders who acted as the panel.

Lastly, through the S.P.I.N. Workshop, the delegates had an opportunity to socialize with other delegates. The delegates enthusiastically brainstormed and presented their solutions to the pressing issues Legal Management program is currently facing.
Overall, the first every Legal Management Summit by the Alliance was a success.  The event would not have been possible without the earnest participation of the delegates and unbounded efforts of the Alliance’s National Executive Board and Council.

Also, the Alliance is giving thanks to their media partners WhenInManila.Com, PAGEONE Media, TomasinoWeb, TOMCAT, and also to their sponsors, Trampoline Park, iChill Theater Café, Ano Pa, Sinquenta, SMART and PAGCOR.

This is just the beginning for the Alliance; anticipate great projects in store for every Ally in the Philippines!

Long Live the Alliance!
