Early this month, I was fortunate to be invited by Philippine Airlines to their “PAL LOVE BUS” event as they celebrated their 40th-year love affair with AirBus.
Trivia: The first Airbus aircraft, the Airbus A300, was delivered to PAL in November 1979.
To mark PAL’s 40th year of partnership with Airbus, the revival of the “Love Bus” was celebrated by placing the iconic logo on their 5th A350 Airbus.

After the event, we all boarded PAL’s A350 Airbus to fly straight to Bangkok, Thailand to go on a tour specially prepared by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
During the flight, I was able to experience PAL’s signature heartfelt service and their young, ultra-modern fleet. Iba rin talaga ang alaga ng PAL. It was a perfect time for me to also rekindle my love affair with Philippine Airlines (I was a former intern at PAL’s Advertising Department).
You Gotta Try PAL’s Premium Economy!
During our trip, I tried their Premium Economy seat and the experience was exceptional! Ideal for people who want to experience a bit more leg room, privacy and comfort without the premium price tag.
Here’s what to expect:
The Premium Economy has its own exclusive cabin that’s separate from the regular economy seats. If I remember right, there were around 24 Premium Economy seats in this cabin and they’re obviously different from the regular economy seats. If you love having more legroom but don’t have much budget to book Business Class tickets, this is your best option.

You also get to enjoy Premium dining onboard.
Aside from the comforts onboard with Premium Economy, you can also get to enjoy greater Baggage Allowance, Priority Check-in, Boarding and even Priority Baggage Retrieval. This is very ideal for travellers who prefer to board the plane early and also claim their luggage first to exit the airport quickly.
Oh btw before I forget, whenever flying with Philippine Airlines, I also recommend renting their My PAL Roam to keep you connected online. I’ve used this a couple of times and didn’t have any unpleasant issues so far.
