Phenomenal: A Celebration of Beauty

unnamed

Phenomenal: A Celebration of Beauty is an event hosted by The Better Story Project, an organization geared towards women empowerment through community-centered activities such as workshops, camps and forums. It will be held in Top Shelf at Fully Booked High Street on July 11, 2015 from 1-6 PM.

Teaming with keynote speakers Ailene Ponce of Beauty Anonymous, Stacy and Danah Gutierrez of PLUMP.ph, and singer-songwriter Julianne Tarroja, the goal of the event is to open up a conversation on what the word beautiful means. The concept of beauty has been an ongoing struggle for women through the years. The media has constantly perpetuated an invisible standard that leave most women feeling like they are not enough. It is no surprise that in a recent study conducted by Dove, it was discovered that only 4% of women around the world feel truly beautiful.

This event is our attempt to redeem the word and remind women, all women, that who they are is — and has always been — nothing short of phenomenal.

July 11, 2015 | SATURDAY

Top Shelf | Fully Booked  Bonifacio High Street.

1:00 – 6:00 PM.

There’s a fee of P1000 that will cover food and materials.
