The Pasig City Government has announced that it will shoulder the cremation expenses of all residents who have died of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
In a tweet posted Thursday, April 9, Mayor Vico Sotto informed all Pasig residents of this news and assured them that it will be “100% safe.”
“Para sa mga taga-Pasig na may covid-related death, sagot ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ang CREMATION (For all those who live in Pasig who passed away from COVID-19, the local government will shoulder your cremation),” he wrote. “Rest assured that we strictly follow DOH protocols and it is 100% safe.”
