They’re back!!!
Our favorite people from the Parks and Recreation Department in Pawnee, Indiana are reuniting for a special episode to aid in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost all the original cast members, including Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Jim O’Heir, and Retta, plus a number of other special guests, will reprise their roles. Permission to freak out: granted!
The special will focus on character Leslie Knope and her determination to stay connected with her friends while under quarantine. It will air on April 30, 8:30 PM (May 1, 8:30 AM Manila time) on NBC, and will be for the benefit of Feeding America.
“Like a lot of other people, we were looking for ways to help and felt that bringing these characters back for a night could raise some money,” said executive producer Michael Schur. “I sent a hopeful email to the cast and they all got back to me within 45 minutes. Our old ‘Parks and Rec’ team has put together one more 30-minute slice of (quarantined) Pawnee life and we hope everyone enjoys it. And donates!”
It’s been five years since the iconic show Parks and Recreation ended its seven-season run and we couldn’t have asked for a better time for them to make their comeback. Better mark your calendars and treat yo self!!!
