Pagmulat sa Bagong Reyalidad: Makibahagi at Kumilos

The year 2020 has pushed theater-makers in our country to venture into a fairly new platform to continue making art. The online community became a bigger space for artists to continue their crafts and present it to a larger audience. Selected theater students from Batch 2019 of University of the Philippines-Diliman, are taking part in distributing advocacy plays to the online community. They’re partnering with organizations such as Alay Sining and Tulong Kabataan-UP Diliman to bring inspiring stories and to raise donations for the struggling communities affected by the pandemic.

Donation Drive Details

This event is in support of the Kusinang Diliman project of Tulong Kabataan – UP Diliman. Formed in 2014, Kusinang Diliman was originally a volunteer network of students and youth for those affected by calamities. Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, they focused their work on communities gravely affected by the lockdown in the country, namely: Krus na Ligas (K.N.L), Pook na Malinis, and Villages A, B, and C. To alleviate the struggles that families in these communities face amidst the pandemic, the Kusinang Diliman mainly provides nutritious meals and sustenance. The proceeds of Pagmulat, as a project, will aid the Kusinang Diliman to continue providing meals for families in the Diliman community.
