When in Manila and a theater enthusiast, one must be ready to be mesmerized once again as the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Dulaang UP team up in bringing back to the stage the critically-acclaimed blockbuster production of Francisco Baltazar’s Orosman at Zafira for the 4th National Theater Festival this November at the CCP
This spellbinding adaptation of Baltazar’s classic komedya is directed and choreographed by Dexter M. Santos with original music by Carol Bello. Cast members who will be reprising their earlier roles include Delphine Buencamino (Zafira), Jay Gonzaga (Orosman), Roeder Camanag (Abdalap), Jean Judith Javier (Gulnara), Tao Aves (Zelima) Ricky Ibe and Nazer Salcedo (Boulasem), Neil Tolentino (Mahamud) and Ronnie Martinez (Ben-Asar). New additions include Chuck Hipol (Aldervesin) and Kierwin Larena (Zelim).
This staging of Orosman at Zafira is made possible by the CCP and the Office of the President, University of the Philippines.
