Roy Antonio is a singer and a songwriter. This man in guitar wrote a song about people who invest in the wrong relationship entitled “Ginoong Mapagmahal”.
He also wrote one on his friend’s experience about courting a guy since his friend couldn’t wait for a relationship – “Maghintay”.
Eloisa Jayloni performed songs for those bitter in love, have a TOTGA (the one that got away), and those who hoped much can relate to.
I was entertained by her songs as I could relate to some of it. This night was also memorable for Eloisa as it was her first time performing for Originals Only.
Tihtus, a 5-member indie band all the way from Ilocos, captivated me the most with their song “Isang Ikaw”.
A former Myx VJ, Julz Savard performed some of her songs, as well. Her newest song struck me the most. It is a song about depression entitled ”Vulnerable”.
Another song of Julz that I like is “Infatuated” since I can relate to it.
Guji Lorenzana, one of the organizers of Originals Only, performed songs that he wrote based on different inspirations and his experiences such as watching the series FRIENDS, and also the other song which is dedicated to his ex-girlfriend.
The Sunday Radio was the closing act, but their energy was as high as those who performed before them. I liked the song “90’s Kid” the most, which is dedicated to people that born in the 90s like me.
I’m so glad to have witnessed these OPM artists. It made me love OPM even more. Hopefully, I will be able to watch another Originals Only gig soon with another set of artists because it was so worth it and it made my OPM heart happy. This was definitely a night to remember!
