Singer-composer behind the hit Filipino jukebox songs “Paano Ang Puso Ko” and “Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin” April Boy Regino has passed away. He was 59-years-old.
The news was first announced by his brother Vingo Regino on Facebook on Sunday morning, November 29, 2020. He did not specify the cause of his death.
“Nakakalungkot naman ang araw na ito..wala na ang kuya april boy ko… (This day is so sad… my brother April Boy is gone),” he wrote.
According to MJ Felipe, April Boy’s wife Madel also confirmed the news and is currently making funeral arrangements.
April Boy, real name Dennis Regino Magloyuan Magdaraog, had a career that spanned the early 90s to the late 2010s. He had reportedly been battling prostate cancer and had also been diagnosed with diabetes that slowly infected his vision. He retired from showbiz in 2015 to care for his health.
