OnlyPans Taqueria, a popular taco shop in Poblacion, Makati, was left with surplus food good for 400 people after a major brand that initially partnered with them for an event this weekend suddenly canceled its order.
The taco shop published a statement on its official Facebook page on Thursday evening, December 7, which read:
Due to a major brand’s last-minute cancelation, we have surplus catering for 400 people, originally planned to be served this weekend. We’re not a big restaurant with a massive commissary, and this has left us with excess stock.
Initially booked for 400 people in a vibrant food truck style, the sudden change led to a revised order of 80 pax after signing a contract for 200 pax. Despite this challenge, we remain committed to providing exceptional service.
They then asked the public to reach out so that the prepared catering wouldn’t go to waste. They also urged both big and small brands “to uphold transparency in partnerships.”
