OnePointe One: Slumber Jam Celebrates Courage, Creativity, and Community

Homeschooling has a way of creating unexpected beginnings—small ideas that quietly grow, hearts that find purpose together, and children who discover what they can become when guided with love, faith, and character. This is exactly how OnePointe One: Slumber Jam was born: from a simple desire to create a memorable experience for a small group of dancing girls, eventually transforming into a full-stage production that now welcomes an entire community.

WIM POSTER 1

For Executive Producer Anne Uy Gamboa, the vision wasn’t just about putting kids onstage. It was about giving them a simulation of the “real world” while grounding them deeply in the values that matter most. “Character comes first,” she often says—and this concert stands as living proof of that belief. As a homeschooling mom, she sees every project as an opportunity for intentional parenting, for building discipline, initiative, and courage—traits beautifully reflected in their chosen theme: “Be strong and courageous.” — Joshua 1:9

What began as casual dance sessions in a small Learn Group gradually blossomed into something much bigger. The kids wanted to dance, but they also wanted to create, collaborate, and challenge themselves. They learned that excellence requires commitment; that hard work doesn’t always feel glamorous; and that perseverance—especially the kind done quietly—creates its own kind of confidence.

With every rehearsal, the children experienced real production work: not only performing, but also contributing behind the scenes. From concept discussions and staging to handling props, designing materials, managing social media content, and assembling this very booklet, they discovered what it means to fall, try again, and rise stronger. They learned the value of teamwork and the joy of seeing something come alive because they built it with their own hands.

Supporting them are the dedicated leaders who shaped the heart of this production. Jermaine Burog, coach and creative director, crafted the artistic direction with passion and excellence. Chay Alcazar, event director, provided steadfast structure and clarity, guiding the children through every step of the journey. Jermaine also served as scriptwriter alongside Keith Galvez, weaving together the world of Slumber Jam with intention and imagination.

Through their guidance, the kids were not merely instructed—they were empowered. They were encouraged to reflect, contribute ideas, solve problems, communicate respectfully, and embrace accountability. These small moments, repeated through the months, became lessons far more valuable than any applause they may receive onstage.

Behind the production is a community that embraced collaboration wholeheartedly. Parents, friends, and sponsors came forward, offering support not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually. Their generosity lifted the children higher, reminding them that they are surrounded by people who believe in their potential.

At the center of it all is the homeschooling family—quietly committed, often unseen, yet deeply rooted in purpose. OnePointe One: Slumber Jam is a celebration of that commitment. It honors the courage of parents who choose a path of intentionality. It honors children who bravely step out of their comfort zones. And it honors a community bound not only by learning, but by faith.

As the concert draws near, one message rings truest of all: this is more than a show. It is a story of growth, grace, and God’s fingerprints across every detail. It is a reminder that when hearts work together—and when children are encouraged to shine—the result is something far more beautiful than a performance. It becomes a legacy.

OnePointe One: Slumber Jam invites every viewer to witness what happens when courage is nurtured, creativity is cultivated, and community becomes family. May this concert inspire others to embrace the same courage that brought these young performers to the stage—one strong, fearless step at a time.a
