One Person Spent P2.6 Million On Lazada’s 12-12 Sale

It looks like one person got their Christmas shopping done early — for the next few decades or so. While the holidays are typically a time for spending, one Lazada shopper may have overdone it by a couple of million pesos. According to Lazada’s official report of their 12-12 sale, one person checked out Php 2.6 million worth of items on their shopping cart.

It was, inevitably, their ‘biggest shopping cart’ from the sale as well.

Other significant numbers from the report state that people collectively spent a total of 287 million minutes on the e-commerce site during the sale. In that amount of time, 6.6 million items were sold throughout the 24-hour sale. However, do note that the sale actually went on longer than a day for most shops.

We can guess that Lazada made such a selling due to the season of giving. They cite that their most sought after items include 503,000 pairs of shoes, 374,000 pieces of jewelry, and 187,000 toys. There were also 115,000 power banks purchased and 80,000 phones sold.

Lazada has made 12,000 of their sellers millionaires in 2019, by virtue of their having sold at least Php 1 million worth of items.
