Tasked with developing a fundraising event as part of their Events Marketing course, this student group, SUMMUS, set out to craft an experience that would be both unforgettable and deeply impactful. Their chosen beneficiary is Marife Boticario, a mother of ten, a stay-out house helper of one of the group’s members, and a survivor of the recent Typhoon Kristine. Her story of resilience and strength has touched the hearts of the students. For Marife and her family, SUMMUS has organized a one-of-a-kind Broadway-themed drag brunch fundraiser that promises not only fabulous entertainment but also hope for a brighter future.
“One Brunch Only: Broadway at Benny’s” is set to take place at BennyCoffee&Brunch on Katipunan Ave on November 6 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Headlined by the charismatic Angel Galang, a Top 4 finalist from Drag Race Philippines Season 3, this event promises dazzling and jaw-dropping performances. Drag queen Salmo Nella will both host and perform, adding her own flair to the event.
