Oh no, Selena-Abel shippers! Apparently, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) have called it quits in their relationship after 10 months of dating, according to People!
Their breakup comes following reports that Selena Gomez has been spotted hanging out again with her long-time ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, among their church group.
A source close to Selena told People:
“She and Abel have been going back and forth for a few months about their relationship. It’s been hard with him being on tour and her shooting in New York. That wasn’t easy on them.”
The source added that while Selena “always made an effort” to attend his shows when she could, “that played a part in them getting distant.” “It’s over for now, but they’re still in touch.”
The breakup has been reportedly hard on the couple, who said that they were seriously dating.
The insider says:
“It’s been hard for them to come to the realization that this is the direction things were heading, but it’s been hard for months.” The source also said that Selena is not back together with her ex Justin Bieber.
