As I type this, I realize that I may be one of the very few people – if not the only person – freaking out about this. If you’re a 90s kid, though, you should at least know who Devon Sawa is. If you don’t, he’s the guy who played the human version of Casper in, well, ‘Casper’.
And even though we only saw him for less than 5 minutes in his human form (he didn’t even voice Casper’s ghost version throughout the movie lol), I swooned like no other and rewinded that part on the VHS tape that we rented over and over and over again. (I was 8. Give me a break. :p)
After that, I made it a point to buy magazines, cut out his posters, hang them up on my wall, and watch every single one of his movies when they came out. This included the beautiful teenage movie ‘Now and Then’, the annoyingly hilarious ‘Idle Hands’, and of course, ‘Final Destination’.
So, when he tweeted that he was on the way to the Philippines, I instinctively and automatically looked for flights just because I wanted to know how doable it would be to get to where he is at this moment. :p
