Obama Grill on Boracay Island Gives You A Taste of Freedom… and Tuna Belly
Exquisite Dishes in Boracay Island!
Do not dare leave the island without savoring the exquisite dishes Boracay Island has to offer.
Obama Grill is one location I strongly recommend you check out to get that sweet taste of freedom…. and Tuna Belly!
This American themed beach front restaurant is located right on the beautiful white sand beach of Boracay, across Shore Time Hotel where I stayed.
MJ, manager of Obama Grill, recommended their top dishes, which consists of tuna belly, barbecue ribs, and beef steak.
My all time favorite was the tuna belly served with lemon butter sauce. The tuna belly had the most delightful flavor I have ever tasted. It was a melt in your mouth perfection. This mouth watering grilled dish that is cooked to perfection is served in thick strips of tuna belly that is moist and soft inside but well done on the outer part.
Secondly, the Bbq ribs really hit the spot. The tenderness of the ribs that easily fell off effortlessly from the bones. Not only that, but the sauce used to marinate the ribs is incomparable to anything I have ever tasted. MJ informed us that the sauce is a secret recipe from the owner ,Andy, who samples the sauce each time he comes in. The sweet taste with a hint of citrus had me wanting more.
The beef steak was very tasty and is definitely a local favorite! The garlic flavored dish topped with red grilled onions left me completely satisfied.
Not only was their food off the charts, but their service. MJ the manager of Obama Grill was wonderful. She gave us some insight of the company and also informed us about future plans in Manila. They made my experience there that much more memorable by personally making me a fresh squeezed Calamansi juice that wasn’t even on the menu. That was the cherry ontop. Kudos to ShoreTime Hotel for recommending this off the wall restaurant and Cebu Pacific for providing the flight and going to great effort to make sure everything was in order for a great vacation. Now I can’t wait to go back.
For those not familiar, calamansi is a local favorite. It can be used as seasoning for your food or squeezed into a healthy and tasty drink. Best way I can describe it is that it’s a fusion between a sweet orange and a sour lemon.
