Numina: Démiurge is an inter-collegiate digital arts competition open to all college students ages 16-25 years old. It began accepting entries since November 20, 2017 to January 19, 2018, and will end with a culminating night on January 27, 2018 at Dulo MNL, Makati City.

Celebrating creativity and art at the height of rising modern technology, Numina: Démiurge aims to promote the seamless integration of art and the digital format and out of the box ideas from different people around the metro. The competition features the contemporary outlet’s creativity such as graphic design, photo manipulation, and Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) generation. This year’s Numina wishes to encapsulate the visionary: the Démiurge, a passionate creator who forges the future, empowered by imagination and wisdom. They see the bigger picture and aim to motivate people to gravitate towards making the world a better place. Through this year’s theme of Dadaism, a modern art movement rooted in upending social, political, and cultural inanity, Numina challenges artists to address socially relevant issues with their artworks. Aligned with the Dadaic aesthetic of protest and overturning norms, the submitted artworks must creatively address contemporary issues and pose difficult questions about our modern society.

In line with this, Numina: Démiurge has partnered with Project Liwanag, a non-profit organization that aims to create a brighter future for indigenous communities here in the Philippines. Their mission is to empower these people creating communal and sustainable projects in order to address the basic needs of our indigenous brothers and sisters.

Together with Project Liwanag & Numina: Démiurge, empower, create, and turn your imagination into reality. Those who submitted their works will get a chance to win Php 10,000 (per category), open to all college students in Metro Manila. All submitted artworks will be displayed for public viewing.
