Number of COVID-19 Recoveries in the Philippines Exceed 1,000

The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the Philippines has finally surpassed the 1,000-mark in the latest update posted on Wednesday, April 29.

According to the Department of Health, 48 new patients were confirmed to have recovered from the COVID-19 disease, bringing the total to 1,023.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed cases in the country has now surpassed 8,000 with 254 new cases, bringing the national total to 8,212. The death count has also risen to 558.

It was back on April 15 when the country’s number of recoveries officially surpassed the death toll for the first time.

The DOH has also confirmed that the Philippines now has a testing capacity of 6,230 daily, which is short of its targetted 8,000 tests per day.
