The pilot episode last January 2017 that was mentored by no less than the writing master himself, Mr. Ricardo “Ricky” Lee, was a huge success; it was attended by almost a thousand writing enthusiasts. This July, Aslan Advertising is producing the second episode of Now Showing: Master Class. The topic will be “Directing” spearheaded by Mr. Joel Lamangan. This 4-hour seminar aims to provide a venue for its participants (mainly students and young professionals) to learn and enhance the skills that are essential in their chosen field.
Joel Lamangan is a Filipino film director, television director, and actor. He rose to fame in the early 90s as an auteur dramatic filmmaker. His award-winning films include The Flor Contemplacion Story, Sidhi, Deathrow, Hubog, Aishte Imasu 1941, Blue Moon and Mano Po.
As one of our country’s world renowned directors, Mr. Joel Lamangan will impart his knowledge and experiences that have helped him master his craft. We believe that Direk Joel’s expertise in directing will help the attendees enhance their skills as they learn from him the most important things in the industry.
