#NoStudentLeftBehind: Here’s How You Can Help 30 Students From Cavite and Nueva Ecija Continue Their Online Education

The COVID-19 pandemic has shifted our educational system into a digital platform for almost two years now. While this provided an avenue to continue learning from home, it remains a privilege to do so comfortably. The shift to online learning has presented numerous barriers such as poor internet connectivity and lack of gadgets such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones; and these hinder the educational opportunities of countless Filipino students.

Screen Share: A Gadget Donation Drive aims to promote accessible and inclusive education for Filipino students and to provide the resources they need to empower themselves in their online education. At the same time, the project also reduces electronic waste by finding new homes for used and/or extra gadgets which would otherwise be thrown or left unused.

Screen Share is set to relaunch on September 10, 2021. It will be a year-long project, with a consistent call for donations done online throughout the year. Various points in Metro Manila will serve as gadget collection points, such as Commonwealth, White Plains, Marikina, Las Piñas, and Makati. For those who wish to donate, simply fill up this form: bit.ly/PLDScreenShare. Care of our courier partner Ecoship Asia, a tree will be planted for every 25 deliveries.

In its first year, Screen Share was able to collect and donate functional gadgets to 39 students and scholars from Marikina City, Silang, Cavite, and San Jose, Nueva Ecija. This year, the project aims to aid 30 students from our partner communities in San Jose, Nueva Ecija and Silang, Cavite.

Aside from these partner communities, Screen Share actively searches for other communities who may also be in need of resources for online education and tries to provide for them, given our resources. The team also caters to the needs of individuals who reach out to the project through our email and Facebook page.
