It’s Time to Say Goodbye to Nokal Bar in Poblacion, Makati

Popular Poblacion bar, Nokal, has officially ceased its operations after three years.

In a statement published on Facebook, NoKal admitted that they had been hard-hit by the current novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that has kept their business closed for months and, in effect, unable to pay their rent.

They thanked all their loyal customers and sponsors for supporting them all these years, as well as their hardworking staff.

“Nokal is what it is because of the people that come and support it. Our success as a business in this industry is tied directly with the community that was built by our home, The Lokals of Nokal. Our business was built for one primary purpose, it was to spread good music, good vibes, good drinks, and good food to whoever wanted to come in our establishment. ‘In our house everyone is equal’,” their statement read.

“In the past 3 years we’ve operated in Poblacion we have been welcomed with open arms. In the neighborhood, the success of one is the success of everyone,” the added. “Poblacion will always be our home.”

They then promised their patrons that they will be seeking a new location once the restrictions on bars have officially been lifted. “Rest assured that our home “Nokal” will live on and will definitely make a comeback once the timing is right,” they added.
