Nintendo of America Co-Founder Alan Stone Passes Away

What a sad moment for Nintendo.

After losing their president Satoru Iwata in 2015 now comes another as Nintendo USA’s co-founder, Alan Stone, died due to cancer. He was 71.

A pillar of the videogame industry in the United States, as co-founder of Nintendo of America, he was involved with the development of the Nintendo Family Computer. Stone was also one of the movers behind SEGA, and was most recently behind Nanotech Entertainment.

After his time with Nintendo, Stone joined SEGA back in 1994 as CEO of SEGA Enterprises. He joined Nanotech as COO and board member of the company.
