Nike Stops Online Sale of Kobe Bryant Related Products

Kobe Bryant Nike

The world mourned when it was announced that basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter passed away after the helicopter they were riding in crashed in Calabasas, California.

One of the brands paying respects is Nike, which has stopped the online sale of Kobe Bryant related products.

Company sources have confirmed to ESPN that the athletic brand has pulled out all Kobe products. Once a user searches on the website, a purple and yellow gift card with the logo of the Los Angeles Lakers will appear.

Kobe has played a big role in Nike, working with executives, designers, developers, and employees since 2003.

Together, they have created the Nike Kobe signature series, which was worn by 100 players in the NBA this season alone.

A new colorway of the Kobe 5 Protro was supposed to be released on February 7, but Nike is currently discussing whether to push through the release or postpone the launch.
