It’s that time of the year and if you are itching to go to the beach, Boracay should definitely be on your list. Dubbed as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Boracay is once again open for tourists who want to experience the island life.
Many people call the rehabilitated Boracay “The New Boracay” because of the island’s major improvements. One of the newest destinations there is called Newcoast. Located at Yapak Beach at the northern part of the island away from the crowd of white beach, Newcoast is a township project of Megaworld. The township is a 5-year project that will eventually have hotels, commercial stores, and residential units in it.
During our visit to Boracay, we stayed at the first establishment to open in the township: Savoy Hotel. The hotel is in the middle of the property and has world-class facilities that will make your stay as relaxing as possible. As soon as you arrive, you will be welcomed by the spacious concierge accentuated with pops of color to remind you that you are still in a tropical paradise.
The hotel has four types of rooms that range from 32 to 55 square meters. What’s special about the units is that they all have balconies with a view of the property – from the golf course to the beach.
The hotel has a few restaurants, bars, a spa, a gym and its own beach coves, so you can enjoy the sand and sea sans the crowd. If you want some adventure in the mix, you can go kayaking on Newcoast’s beach.
If you still want to check out white beach anyway, the hotel also offers scheduled shuttle services. Just note that the service is only available between 9AM to 10PM (a strict schedule) from Savoy Hotel to D Mall.
What I love most about Savoy is its unobstructed view of the sea. Though there are developments in the area, each unit in the hotel is given a breathtaking view. The staff at the hotel is extremely friendly, too. You’ll feel right at home!
