Netflix receives first-ever nomination in Baeksang Arts Awards for ‘Kingdom’

Baeksang Arts Awards, also known as Paeksang Arts Awards, honors outstanding achievements in the South Korean entertainment industry. It’s basically the “Oscars of Korea” so you can imagine how big of a deal it is to receive a nomination.

This year’s ceremony marks the first time for Netflix to be recognized by the annual arts awards — and for two productions, at that!

The 56th awards ceremony will be held on June 5 at Kintex in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province. It honors the cast and crew of TV shows, films, and theater productions released between April 1, 2019 and April 30, 2020.
