Real estate developer Suntrust Properties Inc., a subsidiary of Megaworld Corporation, has officially gifted Olympic silver medalist Nesthy Petecio her new condominium unit worth PHP 10 million.
The fully-furnished residential unit in One Lakeshore Drive is located in Lanang, Davao City which is just an hour away from her hometown in Sta. Cruz.
Nesthy was also surprised with a Zoom call with her family during the awarding of the unit. Prior to the event, she went golfing and drove around the venue.
Construction of One Lakeshore Drive is still ongoing and it will be nestled inside the 11.2-hectare Davao Park District. Her unit will be on the top floor of the condominium and will be furnished to her liking, according to Suntrust president lawyer Harry Paltongan.
Nesthy brought home the silver medal from the recently concluded Tokyo 2020 Olympics under the Women’s Boxing Featherweight Division. The 29-year-old athlete from Davao del Sur lost to a close fight with Japan’s Sena Irie, who took home gold after a unanimous decision from the judges.
