OMG. My heart is beating so fast right now. Who else was obsessed with Neopets back in the day?
In case you’ve never heard of it, the Neopets website was a huge hit back in the 90s and early 2000s. In the website, you can basically own virtual pets and buy them virtual items… and it was honestly one of the highlights of my childhood. They were just so cute and it was so much fun to play and now, it looks like it might be coming to the Nintendo Switch soon.
In an interview with the Washington Post, the Neopets Brand Manager, Stephanie Lord said that they are also considering bringing Neopets to Nintendo Switch to modernize the product and expand its audience. Unfortunately, they didn’t share more details than that, making us wonder whether it will be exactly like the website version or if they’ll upgrade it with options to exchange pets with other players or even turn it into a Pokemon-like game.
