Kids who grew up in the 90s will remember the man in red who graced our television screens to teach us the wonders of creating art with any medium (particularly with PVA Glue). And though it’s been almost two decades since we heard the words “Art Attack,” we continue to cherish the memories we made sitting at home after school, laughing at the Talking Head’s jokes and guessing what host Neil Buchanan’s Big Art Attacks were going to look like.
And so it brings a particular kind of joy and nostalgia when Neil made a sudden comeback in his iconic red sweatshirt to surprise 90s kids everywhere for a new Big Art Attack!

The massive art piece, filmed top-down style, was made in collaboration with a big brand from the UK that was announcing the return of a beloved flavor, also from the 90s, in supermarkets this year. The piece was made with cut-out cloth, cassette tapes, CDs, school lunchboxes, pencils, and marbles, just to name a few.

Neil Buchanan was the host of “Art Attack” which ran from 1990 to 2007. Neil then went on to host other shows before pursuing a music career with his heavy metal band Marseille. He left the band in 2017 to do consultancy work in children’s television.
In 2020, Neil dominated headlines due to rumors that he was Banksy, which he denied.
