First of all, let me make it clear that I’m not a model nor a wannabe beauty blogger…. Like you, I’m just a common citizen who loves to eat, travel and write about my experiences. I’m far from being a fashionista or a kikay as well. Though I prefer to keep a low profile most of the time, I do believe that we ordinary folks deserve to look and feel great too! Diba?
For many years, I’ve had a problem with having dull, frizzy damaged hair due to frequent coloring, sun exposure and blow drying. Because of my hopeless hair problem, I often feel like this……
I’ve tried almost all hair products in the market from conditioners, weekly treatments, oils etc. The only thing I never dared to do was to have a rebond since I didn’t want to damage my hair further and make it look like a horrific “walis tingting.” My hair became so unruly that I couldn’t even go out the house without a blow dry, thus, adding more and more damage to my hair. huhuhu
I even came to a point wherein I just had to accept the fact that maybe…. maybe my hair just wants to look that way and wanted to live its own life… I still love myself tho despite having these problems!

But just last week, I realized I didn’t want to further damage my hair anymore. I already quit on coloring my hair for 3 months now for it to rest and finally decided to try getting a Keratin Treatment at Vivere Salon. Rebonding VS Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy
The difference between Keratin Complex  Therapy and  rebonding lies in its key ingredient: keratin. According to what I’ve read online as well as the lecture I got from the Vivere pros,  rebonding breaks the bonds in natural hair, thereby altering their natural form. With Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy on the other hand, the gaps in the bonds are filled with keratin, a type of protein present in hair, skin and nails. It makes your hair shiny and smooth. By adding natural keratin to your hair, you coat the cuticles and also fill in the damaged areas. An infusion of natural keratin into the hair cuticle results in the reduction of frizz and curl by up to 95 percent. The build-up of keratin also adds gloss in addition to straightening hair, making it practically maintenance-free thus, making it the healthier, safer alternative to rebonding.
I’ve decided to take photos on what happened during  my first Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy at Vivere last weekend….
HAIR TIP: I highly suggest you get this treatment on a Thurs/Friday or before days where you won’t be going out coz you’re not allowed to shampoo or wet your hair for 72hrs after treatment for maximum effect.
 After shampoo, sir Rudy of Vivera Salon immediately applied the Keratin treatment all over my head….
The treatment was very gentle. I had no allergies nor noticed any smell of chemicals
After that, he wrapped my head with plastic …
Then my hair was heated for 3o minutes
He then blow dried my hair in preparation for ironing…
The Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy even uses this special hair iron to surely seal in the Keratin protein in your hair!
Only in less than an hour, I already noticed dramatic change in my hair…
After sealing-in  the keratin proteins in my hair cuticles, Rudy, my Vivere hair professional told me it was time for another shampoo and conditioner session….
After another round of shampoo, conditioner and blow dry, I was given a hair trim by Sir Marlon, one of their pioneer Vidal Sassoon trained senior stylists at Vivere Salon. By this time, I was able to feel a really huge difference! Life Changing!

When I got home, I was still a bit doubting that maybe after a day or two, my hair would be back to its frizzy, unruly state … But surprisingly even after 3 days and even til now, my hair is still very soft, shiny and manageable!
I really cant believe it! I’ll definitely go back to Vivere again after 3-5 months!
The best part is that, I learned that hair becomes healthier every time it gets treated with Keratin. It heals damaged hair, blocks the effects of humidity, and protects your hair from toxins in the air. Keratin treatment is gentle enough for all hair types, so color-treated, bleached or highlighted hair now has a chance of being rejuvenated and regaining its luster. Another Hair TIP: To further protect your hair from sun damage, the pros at Vivere told me we should apply a leave-on conditioner before and after sun exposure/swimming outdoors.Â
