NBA: Cavs in hot water from Israel Fans after Firing Blatt

When Cavs coach David Blatt was surprisingly sacked by the team, The Cleveland Cavaliers became Israel’s most hated team — and LeBron the most hated NBA player.

According to reports, millions of Israelis were angered by the surprise firing of Blatt despite him leading the Cavs to the NBA Finals last year and earning the best record in the Eastern Conference so far this season, causing them to turn from being fans to complete haters.

Blatt moved to Israel  after playing for the USA basketball team. He’s married to an Israeli woman and raised his four children in the country. When he became head coach for the Cavaliers, the team got a huge following from Israel.

Reports also say that the firing of Blatt topped Israel news, with the Middle East violent taking a backseat.

While many are angry at the Cavs, most of their anger was directed right at the Cavs superstar LeBron James, who is known to have a bad relationship with Blatt.

Some fans even flooded Jame’s Instagram with Hebrew scripts and hate comments:
