NASA is Hiring New Astronauts to Help Them Bring Humans to Mars

NASA is looking for new astronauts to join its missions to space!

According to an interview with Business Insider, the new class that NASA will hire will be involved in its Artemis missions which aim to set up a station on the moon and eventually help send humans to Mars.

“It’s the best job, on or off the planet,” Brandi Dean, a spokesperson for NASA, told them.

The process isn’t going to be easy, as you may expect. Applicants must have US citizenship, two years of related professional experience, and a master’s degree in a STEM field. They must also pass a 2-hour online assessment test. They will then have to pass reference checks, interviews with a panel of current astronauts, and medical tests before they’re completely onboarded. And that just leads them to two more years of intensive training as astronaut candidates!

It may be a long and tough process, but the end result is guaranteed to be fulfilling. Who wouldn’t want to say yes to the opportunity to live and work at the International Space Station?

Application period ends on March 31, 2020. Eligible applicants can apply here.
