The Performing Arts and Recreation Center (PARC) Foundation, together with the Manila Philharmonic
Orchestra (MPO) under the baton of music director and principal conductor Rodel Colmenar, bring you
“Namamasko Po: MPO featuring Christmas carols close to home,” a fundraising concert to support The
PARC Foundation’s PARC-Aralan program which aims to extend quality performing arts education to the underprivileged youth.
This is the first concert of MPO as an Artist Partner of The PARC Foundation. As of September 30, 2017,
MPO has officially found a new home in The PARC.
“As we celebrate this partnership, we also want to enjoin families to spread the spirit of Christmas
through a concert that will not only bring them joy but also bring hope to the underprivileged youth,”
says Issay Nodalo, co-founder of PARC.
In line with The PARC Foundation’s vision of making performing arts a part of every Filipino youth’s life, “the organization wishes to challenge the misconception that performing arts is a luxury, being only
available to the elite,” expresses Wilmer Guido, founder and President of PARC. “PARC-Aralan’s ultimate goal is to extend quality performing arts education to the underprivileged youth by offering traditional and modern performing arts classes for free to the youth who cannot afford them. This project will be the main beneficiary program of PARC and with the help of participating organizations and Artist Partners, it is envisioned to grow from city to city, and eventually on a national level.”
