Nadine Lustre couldn’t help but fire a clap back at one of her bashers who questioned the actress’s concern for the victims of Typhoon Odette which ravaged many locations in Southern Philippines, particularly the island of Siargao where Nadine had been staying for the past months.
In a tweet, Nadine gave an update to her fans and followers regarding her situation and urged everyone to help those who’ve lost homes and their livelihood due to the storm.
“I’ve been frantic all day. My cortisol level hasn’t been this high in ages. I can’t even think straight. Please, let’s all help everyone affected by typhoon Odette,” she wrote. “That trip to the airport wasn’t fun either. It was a freaking war zone.”
A netizen then jumped into the replies to point out what Nadine wasn’t concerned at all for the typhoon victims but only cared for her rumored boyfriend, Christophe Bariou, who reportedly owned a resort in Siargao.
“Kunwari typhoon Odette. Nagaalala lang yan kay [Christophe]. Bilis maka-Siargao (She’s pretending to be concerned about Typhoon Odette. She’s just worried about Christophe. So quick to say it’s for Siargao),” the netizen said in a now-deleted tweet.
In response, Nadine did not mince words as she said, “Of course I’m worried. Para kang t*nga (You’re acting dumb).”
Nadine has since been sharing news stories regarding the aftermath of Typhoon Odette and many tweets calling for donations for the victims in Surigao, Negros, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and nearby areas.
