According to Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) official Noel Ferrer, Viva Films has decided to replace Nadine as the leading lady of the MMFF entry due to a sudden and unforeseen circumstance relating to her health.

“Miss Lustre has begged off the project due to medical concerns and her resulting inability to perform her duties as an actress during the shoot up to the promotion of the film,” they said in an official statement.

Taking her place instead is Bela Padilla.

Miracle in Cell No. 7 is one of the four initial entries of the 2019 MMFF. It tells a heartwarming story of a mentally ill man who gets wrongfully imprisoned for murder. With the help of the criminals he befriends, he does everything he can to be able to see his daughter again.
