My Shopping Box: Hassle-Free Shopping on your Favorite U.S. Online Shops!

 

 

When In Manila, it is quite a frustration sometimes when you want to buy something online abroad but unable to because of the dreaded customs. Thank goodness that I came across My Shopping Box! 

 

What is MY SHOPPING BOX (MSB)? — My-ShoppingBox is an online mail and package forwarding service operated by First Imperial Cargo. Inc. My-ShoppingBox was conceptualized to provide cost effective shipping solutions to online shoppers and merchants. It was developed as a web based portal providing online shoppers the convenience of U.S. address with variable shipping options.

 

How to sign up on My Shopping Box?

Just go to their website: https://www.my-shoppingbox.com/ and sign up. There is an annual subscription fee of $25.00 per address and you’re in luck if you’re a BDO credit card holder as they offer free subscription on MSB. This service is somewhat similar to having a PO Box, but in the states.

 

What does MSB provides?

Upon signing up on their website, they will give you a U.S. address that you can use to forward your online purchases or packages from friends and relatives in the U.S. Then they will ship your packages here in the Philippines for a fee. They offer flexible and cost effective shipping options by air or sea, depending on your needs.  You can check out their shipping rates and fees HERE. What’s awesome is that they do door-to-door delivery and you don’t have to worry about customs anymore!

 

I’ve been wanting to avail of monthly themed subscription boxes from the US and with the help of MSB’s shipping services, I immediately subscribed!

So in a nutshell, I ordered my LootCrate subscription and had it delivered to my MSB address. Service was fast it only took them around 2 days to verify my package and update it on my account. They open your package to inventory the contents and you can see it on your account dashboard. Don’t worry as they handle your items with utmost care. 🙂

From there, you will have to authorize shipment and choose how you want it be shipped — via sea or air.  I chose via air for $5.99 per pound and my lootcrate box weighed around 2 lbs, a total of $12 for shipping fee which I personally think is reasonable considering that you won’t be worrying about customs fee anymore and it will be delivered right at your doorstep. For air shipments, it usually takes them   10 to 12 working days to have it delivered. I am on my 3rd month of subscription with Loot Crate and I am highly satisfied with MSB’s service. I also tried their service during the Black Friday sale season and they delivered well. You can shop on eBay, Amazon, etsy, Threadless, Hot Topic and a lot more online shops in the U.S.
