Muvela’s Place: Combining Nature and Modernity in One Restobar Cafe
How would you like to spend your day at a relaxing retreat that’s just a stone’s throw away from the Metro? Where a touch of unspoiled flora marries the modernity of the almost urbane… Sounds dreamy? Why not visit this sanctuary situated in Cainta, Rizal and spend a merry day dining and drinking and breathing and soaking in the refreshing local scenery they have to offer?
Muvela’s Place may be a relatively new name to the ears of many, but its history can be traced way back to the early years of the new millennium. Formerly known as Nature’s Camp, people used to visit this place for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, with a huge wall climbing structure and a mini zoo, among other stuff. They closed it down, though, before rebuilding it to make it better for their former regulars and new customers. At its opening in July 2014, the place was renamed to Muvela’s Place, which stands for Murphy, Vengco and Laserna (the names of the owners).
The entrance is a nice welcome to the guests with an abundance of greenery and cool air that will embrace you the minute you set foot into Muvela’s Place. If you fancy one of those plants on display, you can purchase it, too. Yup. They’re for sale!
The bar, located at the front part, will greet you and your friends with a wide array of drinks. A few steps ahead is their outdoor cafe, where you can enjoy your food and drinks in the company of nature, with trees that will shade you from the sun and other plants to soothe you and put you in a mood for a fun time. At night, the place turns into a serene place with nice, soft lights. Beside it are three two-storey KTV lounges you can rent, complete with complementary drinks and pica-pica. Depending on the package, you can rent the KTV room alone, or both floors if you prefer to cook your food there as there is a kitchen downstairs as you belt out your favorite videoke songs all night.
There’s also a pavilion with a pool area that you can reserve for events like birthdays or reunions. If you want a rustic-type of tambayan and inuman, you can stay at the open hangout space beside the pavilion. There are a few animals there that they take care of.
